ANSONIA — A 17-year-old person was charged Jan. 4 in connection to a robbery at a gas station.
The suspect’s name was not released because he is a juvenile, but police said he was one of two people who approached a female as she was pumping gas at the Cumberland Farms on Pershing Drive at about 4 a.m. on Dec. 27, 2022.
The victim said one of the suspects hit her in the head with a handgun and robbed her, then took off in a white sedan.
Police obtained a warrant to arrest the juvenile, who is charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree conspiracy to commit robbery.
“The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected,” Lt. Patrick Lynch said in a prepared statement.
