Klarides Sisters To Announce Re-Election Bid In Derby

DERBY — State Representatives Themis Klarides and Nicole Klarides-Ditria are scheduled to host a re-election kickoff event on Thursday, Jan. 30 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Retro Grub And Pub.

It has been an honor representing the residents of Woodbridge, Orange and Derby at the State Capitol,” said Rep. Klarides. Since being re-elected in 2018, I have been committed to making sure that the majority party in Hartford is being held accountable and that state government becomes more open and transparent. We need to continue to make sure that the one-party rule in Hartford is being checked and that the communities of Woodbridge, Orange, Derby, and their taxpayers are not being unfairly treated for the lack of fiscal discipline at the State Capitol.”

Rep. Klarides-Ditria added, Being your voice at the State Capitol is an honor and privilege that I don’t take lightly. As your State Representative, I have been vocal about the need to start prioritizing state spending on things our communities and residents need the most. The current governor and the majority party have failed to prioritize state spending and have abandoned their campaign promises. With your support this November, my sister and I can return to Hartford to continue to make sure your voices are being heard and that the governor doesn’t forget the promises he has made to the Valley and the taxpayers of Connecticut.”

The suggested contribution to their re-election campaigns, TK20 and NKD20, is $5 to $250. In order for the lawmakers to qualify for the state’s Clean Elections Program, they must raise approximately $5100 from at least 150 individuals living within their districts.

Rep. Klarides represents the 114th district, which includes all of Woodbridge and sections of Orange and Derby. Rep. Klarides-Ditria represents the 105th district, which includes all of Seymour, Beacon Falls, and a section of Derby.
