The latest COVID-19 report from the Naugatuck Valley Health District shows one new positive case locally.
The report, sent by email Aug. 26, is embedded below.
In a message attached to the report, Jessica Stelmaszek, the NVHD’s health director, points out the State of Connecticut is still urging people who have been exposed to COVID-19 to get tested — regardless of whether the person has symptoms.
The CDC recently tweaked guidelines regarding testing, but the tweaks are being called confusing by some politicians.
“With that being said, the State of Connecticut will continue to advise residents who are symptomatic and those who are asymptomatic but have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 case to get tested. To find a free testing site, residents can call 2 – 1‑1 or visit the CT Testing Locator website,” Stelmaszek said.
