WEST HAVEN — State Representatives Themis Klarides, Nicole Klarides-Ditria, and Charles Ferraro concluded their annual Veterans Donation Drive on Monday, December 23rd, visiting the Errera Community Care Center in West Haven to drop off their collected items for area veterans and their families.

Rep. Klarides said, “It is a privilege to be able to make a difference in the lives of people who have served our community and state in such a selfless manner. I want to thank the people who played a role in this effort that touches so many.’’

“We appreciate the overwhelming support from residents that helped us collect much-needed items for our local veterans,” said Rep. Klarides-Ditria. “We want to make sure that area veterans get the necessary resources they need and don’t go without clothes and comfort items during the winter months and holidays.”

“The Errera Community Care Center does an incredible job supporting our local veterans and I am glad that we were able to help assist them in their efforts,” said Rep. Ferraro. “We couldn’t do this without the many residents who donated items and I want to thank them for making this a successful drive for our veterans.”

The items collected included winter jackets, winter hats, gloves, comfort items, and games. The lawmakers had drop-off locations in Derby and West Haven, where the collection bins were overflowing with items.
