Leave Rell Alone!

Former Gov. Lowell Weicker was wrong to attack Gov. M. Jodi Rell for failing to be tough enough in addressing Connecticut’s huge fiscal deficit.

Weicker apparently forgot that the Connecticut Democratic Assembly, large majority, did not cooperate with Rell in her attempt to close the deficit with some serious budget cuts.

The Democratic Assembly, Weicker forgets, continued with its patented, spending as usual agenda, and would not do any serious budget cuts to close our disastrous deficit.

Perhaps, if Weicker was back in office, he would push for a double the Connecticut Income Tax initiative,” but the current Democratic lead legislative body certainly would not allow it!

Weicker’s only accomplishment as our former governor was to give us the Connecticut Income Tax, which does not give him the credentials to attack Rell during a disastrous national depression!

Weicker should apologize to Rell, as he was out of line, to attack her!
