Voters will be asked to vote on a 3 million dollar road bond package on November 8, 2022. This is question 2 on the ballot.
I am urging All Derby voters to vote “NO”.
The reason for my belief that we should vote no and that this road project should not pass is a simple one. This administration time and time again has shown that they cannot be trusted with the finances of this city. Their track record when it comes to handling taxpayer money is about as bad as it gets.
Whether it be massive tax hikes, unaccounted for money, double counting of revenue or consistently late city audits, this administration has proven to be a failure in the area of our finances. This administration simply can’t be trusted with a project of this magnitude. They haven’t earned that right.
Finally, let’s face it, this administration has done nothing over the last 5 years. This is just a shameful attempt to perform a flurry of activity before next election to make it appear as if they’ve actually done anything.
For both those reasons, I urge each voter to vote NO on question 2.
