It has been said that, if you just want to make people happy, stick to selling ice cream. That’s a great message for political season. So many politicians passing out promises like Sponge Bob shaped popsicle bars.
Sure it sounds great, but will it lead to anything beyond a cavity?
Joe Jaumann is the only candidate in next week’s election for State Representative that has the experience to back up his pitch. As Alderman, Joe never voted for a tax increase.
He also initiated an effort to explore better funding for education that doesn’t involve reaching into resident’s wallets. He’s drawn the line on spending. And he does not back down.
It’s easy to talk about balancing the needs of taxpayers with the demands of government. But in next week’s election, only Joe Jaumann has done it, and done it successfully.
Joe Jaumann’s experience in Ansonia shows that he’s not afraid of making tough decisions, and that is exactly what we need in Hartford. Someone to stand up on behalf of Valley residents who can’t afford to pay more in taxes or tolls, and who can no longer afford to be overlooked in favor of wealthier communities.
And as an attorney and professional litigator, Joe knows how to stand-up for those he represents.
It’s wonderful to hear you can have your (ice cream) cake and eat it too. But do we want a State Representative who melts like a bowl of Fudge Ripple under the pressure of unions and special interests?
Valley residents need to elect someone that will fight for them. Joe Jaumann is that someone.
