DERBY — My fellow residents, I write to you today on the eve of one of the most important elections in recent years. Joe DiMartino is a person who has dedicated most of his life to serving the community, whether it be on the field coaching our youth or in the aldermanic chambers at City Hall. He is, without question, the person to lead this city going forward.
Joe is the only candidate who has pledged to be a full time mayor. He will bring a new, creative, clear-headed approach to the Mayor’s office, something we have not seen in a recent years. Not only will he clean up the financial mess that has been created at city hall he will clean up the city and help restore the pride that we once had.
Joe’s plan to create a full time economic development position and advisory group of local business owners will not only help expand our commercial tax base but help maintain the businesses we currently have. Joe knows it is going to take a great team to help get things done. With experienced and qualified leaders such as Town Clerk Marc Garofalo and City Treasurer Maria Conlon, along with an experienced slate, Derby will be in good and stable hands. They will work hard for ALL residents of the City.
Everyone has a right to know what goes on at City Hall. Joe and his team he will bring transparency and keep the public informed on what’s going on, most importantly he will show up for the city as promised. For these reasons I ask you to join me in supporting Joe DiMartino and the entire Democratic Team on Row on Election Day.
