
The Naugatuck Valley Health District reported 18 new positive COVID-19 cases between Friday (Oct. 2) and Monday (Oct. 5).
The information comes from a NVHD update issued Monday evening. It is embedded in full at the bottom of this post.
According to the health district, six new cases were reported in Shelton, five in Naugatuck, three in Ansonia, three in Derby, and one new case in Seymour.
The new cases included people as young as 10 years old, according to the health district.
Overall, the state’s COVID-19 rates (1.6 percent) is below the national average (4.6 percent), but New London County is at 3 percent. Click here for a summary from The CT Mirror.
