A New Haven man received a three-year suspended sentence May 30 in connection to a 2011 assault.
Shaunsaa Henderson, 22, was accused of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend in Derby on June 16, 2011.
After being arrested by Derby police, he allegedly threw toilet water at officers from his holding cell, police said last year.
According to information from the Superior Court criminal clerk’s office, Henderson was sentenced for first-degree reckless endangerment, a misdemeanor, and assaulting a police officer, a felony.
Henderson received a conditional discharge, meaning he could be put in jail for three years if he is arrested again within the next three years.
Six other criminal charges pending against Henderson were dropped, including the alleged assault against the woman.
Further information wasn’t available.
In May 2010, Henderson was stabbed outside a residence on Hawkins Street by 20-year-old Stephan Coney, who was later sentenced to six years in jail.
