SEYMOUR — A man died after a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Great Hill Road and Davis Road Friday.
Police, fire, and EMS were sent to the scene at 7:18 p.m. The vehicle had crashed head-on into a utility pole, snapping it.
The driver was unresponsive, according to a social media post from the Great Hill Hose Co.
“Despite advanced life saving measures taken on scene by EMS, the driver was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The passenger of the vehicle suffered minor injuries,” according to the post.
The driver may have suffered a medical emergency while operating the motor vehicle.
The man’s name was not released.
Great Hill Road was closed until the pole was repaired.
