A 34-year-old man was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital after crashing his bicycle into a stone wall on Colony Street.
Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
According to police, authorities received a 911 call at 1:05 p.m. regarding a person who had crashed into a stone wall on Colony near the Seymour town line.
Police found the man lying on the side of the road, against the stone wall.
“The male appeared to have serious head injuries,” Ansonia Police Lt. Andrew Cota said in an e‑mail.
His name was withheld.
