Man Injured In Derby Fall

A man in his late 20s was injured after falling about 20 feet from a building on Francis Drive in Derby.

The man, whose name was not released, was part of a crew working on the roof at Signs Unlimited at 2 Francis St.

He fell at about 8:15 a.m.

Derby Storm Ambulance took the man to Bridgeport Hospital on a trauma alert, which indicated his injuries were serious.

The name of the roofing company was not available.

Derby police and officials from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration responded to the scene as well.

Francis Street is off Hawkins Street, in between Eighth and E. Ninth streets.
