A 36-year-old man was shot in the leg early Sunday, but police have little information for their investigation.
Derby police were called at 3:20 a.m. to the emergency room of Griffin Hospital, where a man had just arrived with a bullet wound.
The man, a Derby resident, had a single gunshot wound to his calf.
Police said he wouldn’t talk to them about what happened — only that he was shot near the Mobil gas station at the intersection of Pershing Drive and Division Street on the Derby-Ansonia border.
A clerk at the station said he was busy with customers. He heard a noise, but didn’t see what happened.
The victim was treated and released from the hospital.
