Man Stabs Himself In Seymour

SEYMOUR — A Bunting Road resident was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital Saturday after stabbing himself with a knife.

Police said the man’s injuries were not life-threatening.

Police received a call regarding a suicidal man with a knife at about 4 p.m. Saturday.

A four-hour standoff ensued.

Officers were able to diffuse the situation and, with EMS, who were also on scene, assisted the male who had stabbed himself,” police said in a statement.

Police did not release the man’s name and no criminal charges were filed.
