The man who knocked over a court marshal and ran from Derby Superior Court Monday afternoon is still on the loose, state police said Wednesday.
The Valley Indy was the first to report that Robert Mulready, 35, bolted from the court just as he was scheduled to be sentenced to a year in jail on burglary-related charges out of Seymour.
Lt. J. Paul Vance said every police department in the state is keeping an eye out for Mulready, whose last known address was in Naugatuck.
“If we grab onto him, we’ll take him into custody,” Vance said.
Mulready allegedly wrestled with a marshal who tried to stop him as he ran out of court Monday. The two fell through one set of doors before hitting the ground in a small vestibule inside Superior Court on Elizabeth Street in Derby.
Mulready then smashed head first into a door, cracking the glass, on his way out of the building.
He now faces additional charges of disorderly conduct and destruction of state property.
