Martin Luther King said “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” I echo that sentiment. No truer words have been spoken.
Most of our residents respect one another and the police and are grieving over the senseless death of George Floyd and praying for his family.
I am working with local clergy to bring people together through prayer regarding this incident and I hope everyone should follow that example. It’s a time for prayer. There’s never a good time for violence.
In Ansonia black lives matter and it should be that way in every community.
