About 40 people attended the Ansonia Housing Authority’s annual holiday lunch at the Ortoli Community Center Thursday (Dec. 15).
The event was catered by Emmett O’Brien Technical High School students under the instruction of Louis Fusco, a chef and culinary arts teacher at the school.
They prepared turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and a selection of cake and pies.
Rev. Samuel Levey, a member of the Ansonia Housing Authority, offered a prayer to begin the meal.
Resident Service Coordinator Vicky Clifford introduced guests, including Mayor David Cassetti and Aldermen Joan Radin and Lorie Vaccaro.
In the spirit of the holidays, Fusco later emerged in a Santa costume to greet residents.
