The Board of Education plans to host a meet and greet with new Superintendent Edward Malvey Monday, Feb. 7.
The school board voted unanimously earlier this month to hire Malvey.
The meet and greet sessions were originally to have taken place before Malvey started work on Jan. 31, but because of bad weather conditions and other factors it was pushed back.
School board chairman Rose McKinnon said staff will meet Malvey from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Parents and the community may meet him from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Elected officials and town agencies may meet with him from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
All meetings will be held at the Oxford High School cafeteria.
Refreshments will be served, said McKinnon said.
“We would like anyone who is interested to come out and meet Dr. Malvey,” McKinnon said.
Malvey’s 2.5 year contract will pay him a base salary of $140,000 and total compensation of $151,100.
