Though party leaders, The Valley Indy asked each candidate for the Board of Aldermen in Ansonia to participate in a video “meet the candidate” segment organized by Ward.
Today’s video features Brian Perkins and David M. Rhodes, the two candidates nominated by Ansonia Democrats to represent the city’s Fifth Ward. Click play to watch.
Incumbent Fifth Ward Aldermen Joseph Jaumann and Chicago Rivers declined to participate in interviews, as did all GOP Aldermanic candidates. The GOP cited potential fairness concerns, and requested that limitations be put on the interviews, to which The Valley Independent Sentinel would not agree.
