Miller: Vote For Experience And Leadership In Seymour

Seymour First Selectman Kurt Miller.

It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as First Selectman of Seymour for the last six years.

In that short time, we have accomplished a great deal. While much of the credit for our successes comes to me, I could not have accomplished so much without the efforts of all the members of my administration

.

As Helen Keller once said, Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much more.”

I consider myself very lucky to have such hardworking, dedicated people on my team striving every day to move Seymour forward. They work selflessly behind the scenes, not for glory or recognition, but simply to make the community we call home a better place to work, live and visit.

Because I have no opponent, many people are not paying as much attention to this election as they have in previous years. Some may not even vote because they think the result is a forgone conclusion, but nothing could be further from the truth.

Crucial seats on the Boards of Selectmen, Finance and Education as well as the Police Commission are all closely contested.

The outcomes of these races will have a big impact on our ability to ensure that Seymour continues to move in the right direction. For this reason, I am urging people to vote on Tuesday, Nov. 7th.

The Republican team that we have assembled has a tremendous working knowledge of Seymour and has been instrumental in establishing the goals and priorities that have put us on the path to stability and success. While we are very proud of all that we have accomplished so far, we know there is still a lot of work to be done. The task ahead of us will be even more challenging with a State budgetary crisis coming after decades of financial mismanagement in Hartford.

Now more than ever, we need to look to experience and proven performance. We need to count on the people that have efficiently and effectively restored Seymour’s financial security and placed us on the path of stability and progress. With so much uncertainty in our future, we need to continue with the team that has proven it can produce results and deliver on its promises even when things get difficult.

The Republican team that we have assembled is prepared to face the challenges ahead and I am confident that they are the best candidates to help me continue making Seymour a better place.

We have always said that leadership matters, but in the trying times ahead, experience matters just as much. Please remember to get out and vote on Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Vote for leadership, vote for experience, vote for the Miller Team!
