Attention Silvana Bizzotto’s boss.
If she told you she was late for work Tuesday because a parking lot attempted to eat her Honda Accord’s front tire, she is not lying.
Bizzotto, a Seymour resident, was dropping her brother off in front of a store front at 600 Derby Ave. at about 11:30 a.m. when the car started to go crooked.
“I thought I had a flat tire,” Bizzotto said.
Turned out a small sink hole had opened up under the driver’s side tire. The hole looked about a foot deep.
Derby police and the fire department arrived at the scene within minutes. The police department called a two truck.
Bizzotto had already managed to open the door and get out.
When the Valley Indy left her, she was joking with her brother and hoping a tow truck arrived on the scene would arrive before the hold grew larger.
