Motorcyclists Injured In Shelton Crash

Two Orange residents were seriously injured after a motorcycle they were riding collided with a car Saturday in Shelton.

About 9 p.m. police, firefighters, and EMS were dispatched to the intersection of River Road and Murphy’s Lane for a report of a motor vehicle accident, according to a prepared statement issued Monday by police Lt. Robert Kozlowsky.

Police said their initial investigation revealed that a motorcycle driven by Samuel Seeley, 55, of Orange, was headed south on River Road when it collided with a Dodge minivan traveling onto River Road from Murphy’s Lane.

Both Seeley and his wife, Ramona, 54, a passenger on his motorcycle, were hospitalized with serious injuries.

The driver of the minivan, Megan Kalanick, 22, of Shelton, was not injured, police said.

The crash is being investigated by the Shelton Police Traffic Division, and no enforcement action has been taken.
