At least two large brush fires kept Valley firefighters busy Tuesday afternoon.
A large blaze was reported Tuesday in the area of Silver Hill Road in Derby at about 1:15 p.m.
No homes or structures were damaged. Firefighters were on the scene for more than an hour.
At around the same time, Ansonia had a large brush fire in the area of LaRovera Terrace. Crews were there for some three hours.
Firefighters from Seymour, Derby and Shelton assisted.
The National Weather Service issued a warning saying dry conditions and wind had increased the probability of brush fires Monday.
