NEW HAVEN, CT (October 3, 2022) – (Connecticut audiences are going to “L‑O-V‑E” this news…) The New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) Pops Series kicks off on Saturday, October 8 at 3pm at Hamden High School and Sunday, October 9 at 3pm at Shelton High School with Unforgettable: The Music of Nat King Cole. Conducted by NHSO Principal Pops Conductor Chelsea Tipton, II, the concert will feature guest performer CAESAR singing Cole’s Unforgettable hits including Mona Lisa, When I Fall In Love, Route 66, Nature Boy, and The Very Thought of You.
The Screen Actors Guild said, “CAESARS’ smooth velvet voice has often been compared to Nat King Cole’s, but he has his own interpretation and style that compares to no one but is essentially and superbly…CAESAR.” A Chicago native, CAESAR’s debut album,CAESAR Sings Nat King Cole, was engineered by 23-Time Grammy-winning legend Al Schmitt and was recorded at Capitol Studios, in Studio A, singing into the same microphone and utilizing the same Steinway piano that Cole used in the 1950s. CAESAR has collaborated with Herbie Hancock, Al Jarreau, Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Lou Rawls, and Ronnie Laws, and has toured the world accompanying Grammy-winner Julio Iglesias. Most recently he headlined at The Kennedy Center.
