Mysterious Substance, Cold To The Touch, Falls From Sky: School Kids Happy

It snowed overnight Friday in the area.

Roads are slick and schools are delayed.

As of 6:40 a.m. in Seymour, firefighters were responding to a report of wires down in the area of 79 Mountain Road. There were 71 CL&P customers without power in Seymour.

Over in Shelton, emergency crews were responding to a report of a vehicle into a pole on Route 110 near Murphy’s Lane.

The school delays:

Ansonia: 90 minutes

Derby: Two hours

Oxford: 90 minutes

Seymour: Two hours

Shelton: 90 minutes
