A New York man was hospitalized Tuesday morning after crashing on Route 8 in Shelton.
State police said Rodolpho Moreno, 19, of New Rochelle, N.Y., was driving a 1999 BMW 323i on Route 8 north about 9 a.m. in the area of Exit 12 when he lost control of the vehicle.
The car veered to the left side of the highway before rolling over into a wooded area off the highway, according to state police.
Moreno, who state police said was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Bridgeport Hospital with “non-incapacitating” injuries.
The car was totaled.
No further info was available from police.
