New Seymour Scout Troop Hosting Event

SEYMOUR — A new Scout Troop in Seymour is hosting a get together at Trinity Episcopal Church at 91 Church St. starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 23).

Troop 13 Girls of Seymour was established this month. They are posted out of Trinity Episcopal and they are part of the Housatonic Council Boy Scouts of America.

Here’s some info from the new Troop:

Girls come to learn to lead by example, be exemplary citizens in the community, state and nation.

We practice the Scout Oath, Scout Law, and Outdoor Code at all times.

Girls learn to rise to the occasion of living in the outdoors while making the best of friends and the greatest of memories. Most importantly through youth led and adult mentored meetings, council events, monthly camp outs and yearly summer camp, these girls walk away with life long needed skills for learning to be independent and always prepared for anything that comes their way.

We meet every Thursday at 7 pm at the church. Meetings are from August to June. There’s so much more to learn and find out. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to anyone.

We welcome all newcomers any age 11 – 17.

Campfire and S’mores for anyone interested in Joining Scouting America Scout Troop 13 Girls and Scout Troop 11 Boys based at Trinity Episcopal Church @ 91 Church Street, Seymour, CT Wednesday (Oct. 23) at 6 p.m.
