On Saturday, December 8th, the Derby Middle School Running Club participated in the PAL Christmas Village 5k in Trumbull/Bridgeport.
Placing first, second, and third in their age groups were Rachel Fleischer, Nicole Rizzo, and Akshar Patel. Other DMS runners included Assistant Principal Drew Walters, students Jayce Curcio, Rocco Samoker, Nicolette Tasi, Kiley Rodriguez, Syndie Drezek, Chris Oliwa, Tristan Pruzinsky, Joseph Mammano, Nicholas Mammano, Joey Ostuno, Chase Boulton, Lily Wald, Will Corbeil, Anthony DiMartino, Sara Gerckens, Samantha Inthapanhya, as well as Nicholas Sheridan from Bradley School. The DMS Running Club is advised by teachers Mike Gozzo, Shelley Sheridan, and Jenny Ames.
