No Heat At Derby’s Bradley School

The Bradley School on David Humphrey’s Road lost heat this morning, forcing school officials to transfer students to the new Derby Middle School on Nutmeg Avenue.

The students left the building at about 9:30 a.m.

The students from Bradley will be bused back to Bradley at 2:30 p.m. and be dismissed from Bradley as usual.

This is the second day in a row heating problems have challenged lower Valley schools.

On Monday, Seymour High School students were sent home after the heating system shut off.

Derby’s new middle school has extra space because the sixth grade doesn’t move in until the fall.

Bradley is a kindergarten through sixth grade school, with 22 classrooms total.
