Three people in two apartments were displaced after a fire in the walls of an apartment complex on West Street Monday evening.
There were no injuries.
The fire department was called to 133 West St. at about 5:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a possible fire in the apartment building’s attic.
Locating and extinguishing the fire was tricky, understandable once the cause and origin was discovered.
According to the Valley Gazette, embers from a fire place apartment made their way into the walls and had been smoldering for some time.
The fire has been ruled accidental.
