As of Monday, more than 10 percent of the staff and students had tested positive for COVID-19, according to a message from the school.

The numbers released last Thursday showed less people have been testing positive.

On Monday afternoon, the Naugatuck Valley Health District held its first clinic aimed at vaccinating young people. It was held at Derby High School.

Derby Public Schools Superintendent Matthew Conway shared images online, as did the Naugatuck Valley Health District.

Today was just the first clinic in our family friendly series addressing students 16 plus and their household members,” the NVHD posted on Facebook. NVHD, Griffin Hospital, and the Valley Superintendents and Nurse Supervisors are working hard to schedule upcoming clinics for our other 5 school districts. Stay tuned for more details!”
