There were no injuries in an oil tanker accident on Holbrook Road in Seymour Friday afternoon.
Driver Dean Miller, 40, of Seymour, slid on ice near the Oxford line, and crashed the Oxford Oil Co. truck into a ditch, landing it on its side.
A small amount of oil spilled from the tanker.
Seymour firefighters and police responded to the scene at about 1:40 p.m.
Fire Chief Tom Tomasheski said the state Department of Environmental Protection responded, and a private environmental contractor was called in to drain off the tank so the truck could be up-righted.
The tank had shaken loose from the frame, Tomasheski said, and emergency crews wanted to prevent any further spillage of oil.
The truck was filled near capacity with approximately 2,700 gallons of oil, but only a small amount leaked out, according to firefighters.
Miller was issued an infraction for traveling too fast for conditions and failure to carry an operator’s license.
Police were investigating the accident, and closed off that portion of the road, putting up detours in the area.
