Emmett O’Brien Technical High School will hold its annual Open House Thursday, Oct. 29 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the school campus, 141 Prindle Ave. in Ansonia.
Tours during the Open House will begin with an orientation and brief overview of Emmett O’Brien’s programs of study.
Student guides will then escort families to the shop areas where instructors from each trade area will describe their curriculum.
The curriculum features 10 Trade Offerings including Auto Mechanics, Carpentry, Culinary Arts, Mechanical Drafting and Engineering Technology, Electrical, Health Technology, Hairdressing and Cosmetology, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Precision Machining and Plumbing and Heating.
The school offers a complete High School Academic curriculum. Athletic and extra-curricular programs are also available to all students.
Emmett O’Brien graduates receive a dual diploma: High School Academics and Trade Certificates. Emmett O’Brien enrolls 580 students from valley area towns.
