Two over-sized trucks caused a stir in downtown Derby Tuesday afternoon.
After being stopped by Shelton Police at the intersection of Route 34 and Bridge Street at about 12:30 p.m., the two trucks were again stopped on the Northbound on-ramp to Route 8.
Derby and Shelton police blocked off the on-ramp Tuesday afternoon, and Derby police officers on the scene said state police were taking over.
It appears the trucks were having trouble navigating the turns, although police officers on the scene referred all questions to state police, and did not say why the trucks were stopped or how long the on ramp was expected to be closed.
