Oxford Artist’s Paintings Showcased At Town Hall

CONTRIBUTEDThe Oxford Cultural Arts Commission’s Gallery of Art extends their June 2013 Exhibit at Town Hall OCAC Gallery of Art Through July 31.

Delores Rose has been selected to exhibit in the OCACs Showcase Exhibit and those works are included in this two-month show.

She credits having had a wonderful teacher in Alex Domonkos and attributes most of her success to his teaching.

Her specialty is portraits of oil and two grandchildren are her favorite models. Often she modifies the paintings to suit her own whims, adding subtle personal touches like a grandchild’s name on a book in the painting’s background.

CONTRIBUTEDShe has had numerous one-woman shows and has displayed and sold her work at many juried art shows. She teaches an art class at the Middlebury Senior Center on Friday mornings.

Dolores’ paintings will be on display for the full month of July at Oxford town Hall meeting room gallery Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Oxford Town Hall, 486 Oxford Road.
