The Oxford Board of Selectmen will host an informal open house on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at Town Hall.
All elected and appointed committee, commission and board members serving in the Town of Oxford, along with volunteers, staff, residents and friends are invited to stop by.
First Selectman Mary Ann Drayton-Rogers will host the event along with Selectmen David Yish and David McKane.
Between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., the board members will thank those attending for their dedication, hard work, support and friendship over the last two or four years. The current members have served together since the 2009 election while Drayton-Rogers and McKane have teamed up since 2007.
Cake and coffee will be served, Drayton-Rogers said.
“Oxford is well served by many volunteers who put in countless hours of work in taking on various town oversight responsibilities, running activities, planning events and working toward long-term capital projects and caring for the residents safety,” Drayton-Rogers said in a statement. She said each one is equally important and she looks forward to shaking their hands and showing appreciation. The open-house will take place in the main meeting room of the town hall.
