Oxford Brownie Troop Makes Pinwheels For Peace

Oxford First Selectman George R. Temple on Friday welcomed members of Brownie Troop 60752 of Oxford at Town Hall who put up a peace insignia in representation of Pinwheels for Peace, a national effort.

The pinwheels will remain on the front lawn of Town Hall for the next week. Please take the time stop by and see this display, as the Brownie Troop has messages they wrote on each pinwheel.

The girls — Lia Ward, Emma Lacobelle, Ella Manning, Emma Gurecki, Kaitlyn Ferrer, Maddy Steneck, Katie Aldo, Jacklynne Berg, Payton Hovhannissian, Gillian Mucciacciaro, and Catherine Bachman — made a total of 285 pinwheels.
