Regretfully after over six years of dedication and hard work, Kathleen O’Neil recently resigned from her position as a commissioner and chairman of the Oxford Cultural Arts Commission.
The commission honored Kathleen with a gift basket and certificate from the OCAC which was presented at Town Hall July 18 by First Selectman Mary Ann Drayton-Rogers.
Present at the event were commissioners Laura Maksymiw and Dorothy Peebles-Pelley, who expressed their gratitude to Kathleen for all of her efforts on behalf of the commission and congratulated her on the success of her endeavors for operation of the OCAC in the past. They are pleased that Kathleen will continue to advise and assist the Commission whenever possible and to continue to pursue grants to support OCAC programs. The work that Kathleen has done is the foundation for the future of the organization.
Confirmed by unanimous vote at the Commissions regular meeting on Wednesday July 13th were the appointment of Dorothy Peebles-Pelly who is the new OCAC chairman and remaining as Gallery Director, Christine Bavone as Vice Chairman and remaining as Web Master and Marketing Director.
