For the second year, residents of Oxford Greens will be awarding scholarships to seniors at Oxford High School who plan to attend accredited institutions of higher learning in the fall of 2011. Last year four scholarships were awarded to OHS graduating seniors.
Each scholarship, to be known as The Village at Oxford Greens Scholarship, will be awarded based on academic excellence, school involvement and community service.
Students applying must fill out an application, write an essay and supply the necessary recommendations and transcripts.
Applications and additional information will be available at the OHS guidance office. The deadline for submitting these applications is currently April 28, 2011.
Announcement of the winning students will be made at the OHS Awards Night ceremony, where a representative from the Oxford Greens Scholarship Committee will present the awards.
