A week after cracks were found on walls and the floor of a science class, Oxford High School will open again Thursday, district officials announced.
Engineers have been inspecting the building since the fractures were discovered in the building, which is just five years old.
“ … the snow load on the roof contributed to some cracking of joints inside the building, which required further analysis. The condition has been fixed by the contractor,” Superintendent Edward Malvey wrote in a letter posted on the school’s website.
