Shelton police Wednesday arrested an Oxford man they said attempted to break into an occupied home in the Pine Rock section of town.
Keith Karlac of 151 Great Hill Road in Oxford was charged with second-degree criminal attempt at burglary for the incident, which police said happened at 3 p.m. on Jan. 8.
The homeowner found Karlac in the house, and he fled, police said,
Police have linked Karlac to other recent burglaries in the area, Shelton police said in a statement released Thursday.
