Oxford Parks and Recreation is offering a number of trips.

On Sunday, June 5, we’ll leave the Oxford Town Hall at 9:15 a.m. to go to Fenway Park to see the Red Sox play the Oakland A’s. Game time is 1:35 p.m., subject to change due to TV schedule. Seats are Right Field Box #92 near the Pesky Pole. Provided there is no change in game time start, we should return back to Oxford by about 8:15 p.m. Red Sox trips sell out fast, so call now to reserve your space. The price is $110 per person and includes transportation, game ticket and driver gratuity

On Saturday, July 9, we’ll leave Town Hall at 7:30 a.m. to go into New York to visit The Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum. Learn about the various aircraft that flew from her deck and the technologies that supported over 3000 American lives while at sea. After the museum, we will go to Eataly” – the newest Italian market owned by Mario Batali and Lidia Bastianich. Eataly is loaded with everything Italian to eat and bring home. We’ll end our day aboard the Circle Line Cruise for a two-hour narrated tour around Manhattan Island. We should be home by about 8 p.m. This trip costs $83/adult, $70/child and includes admission and tour of the museum, cruise, transportation and driver gratuity.

On Saturday, July 16, we’ll leave Town Hall at 8 a.m. to head to Highland, N.Y. to walk across the Hudson River on the newly renovated trestle which has been transformed into a wonderful pedestrian greenway. It’s a 1 – 1/4 mile walk over to Poughkeepsie where our bus will be waiting to take us to the spectacular Vanderbilt Mansion. After touring this magnificent home, we will go to Rhinebeck for a delightful lunch at The Beeekman Arms Inn. The meal consists of Grilled Salmon with Chablis Beurre Blanc, Pork Tenderloin with Apricot Sauce or Roasted Chicken Breast with Lemon Beurre Blanc – all with side starch, veggies, salad, bread, dessert and beverage. After lunch we’ll tour Staatsburgh, the famous Mills mansion overlooking the river. We’ll end the day with some free time to shop in Rhinebeck. We’ll be home by 8 p.m. The fee for this trip is $88 and includes tours, lunch, transportation and driver gratuity.

On Saturday, July 23, we’ll leave Town Hall at 8 a.m. to go to Newport. First, we’ll board Rhode Island’s only Dinner Train for a 90-minute luncheon excursion around Narragansett Bay. Your lunch will be a choice of Baby Back Ribs, Chicken Florestiere or Stuffed Filet of Sole, all with garden salad, starch, veggie, bread, dessert and beverage. After the train ride, we’ll board The Majestic – a 93-foot seaworthy vessel for a one hour relaxing narrated tour around Newport Harbor. The boat will dock in Bowen’s Wharf where you can enjoy free time to shop in the many little specialty stores. We’ll return to Oxford at about 7 p.m. The fee for this trip is $100 and includes train, boat, lunch, transportation and driver gratuity.
