The Oxford Public Schools Department of Pupil Personnel Services needs assistance in locating all children with disabilities from birth to 21 years of age who need special education and related services.
The school district is seeking help finding:
- Children enrolled in private schools
- Religiously affiliated school children
- Elementary and secondary
- Migrant and homeless children
- Children who are suspected of being a child with a disability and in need of special education, even though they are advancing from grade to grade.
The Oxford Public Schools are particularly interested in learning of students with disabilities within the mentioned age range who are not enrolled in their public schools but who may need special services.
The Oxford Public Schools’ inquiry also extends to children who may be temporarily residing with an Oxford family.
The department’s intent is to assist these children’s needs early to afford a greater opportunity to benefit from the system’s educational program offerings.
