Schools won’t be open in Oxford Tuesday, but Town Hall and the Senior Center will be open.
Such is life in Oxford after the Blizzard of 2013, according to a message from Oxford First Selectman George Temple.
Town Hall and the senior center open at 9 a.m.
All Oxford roads are open to emergency vehicles, according to Temple, and efforts will be underway in the next days to widen the roads by removing more snow.
After that, the town’s Department of Public Works will trim snow piled high near intersections. Catch basins need to be addressed too, Temple said.
The First Selectman said motorists should drive slow, as roads are narrow and slick.
“And remember, you survived the Blizzard of 2013. Good job, Oxford,” Temple said.
