Oxford High School’s volleyball team snapped Cheshire High’s 47-game win streak Wednesday in three straight sets, the Oxford Patch reported.
The Wolverines, who finished as Class M runners-up last season, are 4 – 0 and setting their sights on a league and state championship.
“We shocked a lot of people tonight,” senior tri-captain Bobby Costigan told the Patch. “Cheshire is a great program; we knew we’d need to play a nearly mistake-free game. And that’s what we did. Many people stepped up for us.”
