Woman HIt By Car While Crossing Ansonia’s Pershing Drive

A woman suffered minor injuries when she was hit by a car while crossing Pershing Street in Ansonia Thursday (Oct. 27). 

The woman, who was in her 40s, was crossing near the intersection of Clifton Avenue, according to Ansonia Police Lt. Andrew Cota. 

The incident happened at about 7:15 p.m.

Cota said the pedestrian was at fault because she was crossing while drivers on Pershing Drive had a green light. 

It wasn’t clear if she had been ticketed for the incident. The driver was not, Cota said.

The woman was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital to be evaluated. She was described as stable and alert” at the scene, Cota said.
