State representatives Jason Perillo and Ben McGorty were re-elected to the Connecticut House of Representatives Tuesday, according to the Secretary of the State’s website.
Perillo defeated Democrat Adam Heller by a wide margin, 8,090 to 3,017.
McGorty defeated Angela Capinera 7,810 to 2,077.
Perillo and McGorty are both Republicans from Shelton.
Perillo won a sixth term representing the 113th state House District. Earlier this year he won a GOP primary challenge over Shelton’s Ruth Parkins.
McGorty won his second term representing the 122nd House District.
McGorty’s opponent, Green Party candidate Capinera, ran a quiet campaign.
Perillo, McGorty, and state Rep. Kevin Kelly, who represents parts of Seymour and Shelton, were expected to gather Tuesday night at Caloroso Eatery & Bar on Center Street in Shelton to watch the election results come in.
