A person suffered minor injuries after being struck by a car on Route 34 west just before 3 p.m. Monday (Nov. 21).
Derby police were at the scene investigating. Details were not immediately available.
However, EMS personnel on the scene said the accident was very minor and that the pedestrian was taken to Griffin Hospital to get checked out.
At the same time, Derby firefighters were sent to check out a report of a house fire. It turned out to be a false alarm.
