Hundreds of Ansonians lined the route for the city’s annual Memorial Day Parade Sunday (May 25).

The parade stepped off from Nolan Field about 2 p.m. and proceeded down Wakelee Avenue before turning onto Jackson Street and then across the Maple Street bridge onto Main Street, where the parade passed by a reviewing stand at City Hall.

The parade was in honor of all veterans and a brief ceremony was held at the front of City Hall to honor those who have served their country’s armed forces.

The theme of this year’s parade was Ansonia’s Tribute To Those Who Served and Who are Now Serving Around the World.”
